Ghost Door Hardware Components
Components
A ghost door needs several hardware components — a top guide, a
bottom mechanism, a ceiling plate, and a floor plate.
Browse core component groups
Top hardware
The top hardware is mounted into the top of the door. It uses a
pinhole connection in which a fixed pin engages with the ceiling
plate when the door is installed.
Two top hardware options are available: Regular and Cable Grommet.
The Cable Grommet version enables easy wiring through the door for
lighting or electronic security.
Bottom hardware
The bottom hardware is the main movement mechanism of the ghost
door and is fitted inside the lower edge of the door, making it
virtually invisible. It supports ghost doors weighing up to 500 kg.
Depending on the model, the bottom mechanism can provide hold
positions, self-closing, damper control, latch control, 30° speed
control, and free swing. Its placement determines the spatial
impact of the ghost door. In addition to conventional side
placement, the hardware is suitable for 360-degree rotating panels
or walls.
Ceiling plate
The ceiling plate is fitted in the ceiling, where the pin of the top
hardware seamlessly fits into the hole in the ceiling plate. The
ceiling plate is available in two finishes: brushed stainless steel
and black.
Floor plate
Every FritsJurgens floor plate is mounted 8 mm in the floor. This is
sufficient for almost every floor type and makes it possible to
combine FritsJurgens' hinges with floor heating. Two longer,
shortenable floor plate pins of 30 mm are included with the square
floor plate designs.
There are various floor plates available for System M+. The
standard floor plate is available in four designs: brushed
stainless steel (Series 420) and PVD black in a round and a square
version. Also available is floor plate Flush, which can be
integrated into thresholds and into interior floors. The floor
plates by FritsJurgens are made of solid tempered steel and,
therefore, entirely scratch resistant.
Paint-Free Ghost Door | Micro Inlay Wood Door Series
What is a paint-free ghost door? It is a concealed sliding interior wood door that hides its track, rollers, and
guides to create a clean floating appearance. This micro inlay series combines paint-free wood door panels with
CNC-milled decorative strips for apartments, hotels, villas, and custom residential or commercial projects.
Ghost Door Features
Paint-Free Ghost Door with Micro Inlay Wood Panel
A paint-free ghost door conceals the sliding track, rollers, and guide while its micro inlay wood panel delivers
refined line detail, a flush appearance, and a clean modern finish for custom interior projects.
This gallery shows paint-free ghost door panels developed for concealed sliding door hardware. CNC groove
milling, preformed decorative strips, interference-fit positioning, and adhesive-assisted fixation create
clean line details while the hidden track system supports a floating, flush-to-wall appearance. Custom sizes,
finishes, and hardware matching are available for residential, hospitality, and commercial door projects.
Ghost Door Glass Color Customization
Choose the glass color, transparency, privacy level, surface effect, and coordination with
concealed sliding hardware for custom ghost door projects.
Glass color affects daylight, privacy, reflection, and the visual depth of a ghost door. Review the selected
glass together with the frame finish, panel size, door-leaf weight, and YB01, YB05, or YB09 concealed
hardware set before production.
